If it is within your budget, I believe you will be very well pleased with your stay here. Everything about it is a class act. Normally I’d write more, but truthfully, that’s enough. It is a fantastic hotel. With one qualification as follows. But here’s the thing. Would I, personally, stay here again? Probably not. I slept okay but, for me, the beds were a bit on the hard side. And my sleep wasn’t as great as at another hotel that I tried on this visit. So I moved back to my favorite hotel of this trip, noting to you that it does not have a gym, swimming pool, or restaurant (so please don’t rule out Cartesiano if you want a gym and swimming pool). To give you an analogy, it’s like a restaurant where the food is great, but there is that one person who is a little more sensitive to saltiness than the majority of people, who would not enjoy the meal as much even though the food is great. Well, that is me, respect to bed comfort. I don’t like hard beds, and am just OK with semi hard beds. I came to Puebla in January 2024, with the intention of seeing museums that we had missed when we were here in October 2023, visiting more restaurants, that we did not have an opportunity to dine at, and to try a different hotel, each for two nights, before moving onto another hotel. The intention was to check out several hotels at various price points for comfortable beds, because, you see, in Mexico a lot of times, the beds can be very hard, and in some cases it is like sleeping on concrete. Hotels opt for harder beds because they last longer before needing to be replaced. So on this particular trip, I visited many hotels during the day to check out the beds, and stayed in four different ones over the length of my vacation of two weeks.

The place is beautiful and unique. The staff was helpful and allowed us BOTH early check in and late check out! The building is an adaptive reuse of a former tile factory, and lots of the original building details are preserved, so this is definitely not your cookie-cutter hotel! Really fun, with many indoor and outdoor public spaces - courtyards, fountains, library, etc. The rooftop pool and sun deck are fabulous (perfect for doing a bit of remote work!). We were in the old factory part of the building, which was cool (bits of fresco still visible on the walls), but still clean and modernized. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and with excellent shower. The location perfect, just a couple of blocks from the zocalo. We chose not to eat our meals in the hotel, and found charming local places nearby.

This was a fabulous hotel! We had been traveling for a few weeks so were really glad that this had all the amenities to make this a relaxing stop for a few days. The rooftop pool is beautiful - we spent more than a few hours over the course of our stay enjoying sitting, reading, and swimming. The food was AMAZING! We don't usually eat at the our hotel restaurant except for breakfast but ended up having a lunch and a dinner there because it was so good! Beautiful grounds and a 2 minute walk from a few casual cafes. Another few minutes and you're right at the Zocalo. Bed was also the most comfortable of any during our 3 weeks in Mexico!

Karen

The hotel turned out to be way better than expected. Room was spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. Shower was great, hot water and great pressure. The spa at the hotel was really good. The pool is heated. The hotel is located right next to a main road, but somehow remained quite hidden, not affected by the noise or traffic at all. It is walking distance to the historic part of Puebla, location wise, it's perfect! We drove, there is free valet parking at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Puebla.

Sarah

I was blown away by how nice this property was. Really luxurious lobby and furnishings, gorgeous huge room with balcony. The pool area was really comfortable and the rooftop restaurant was amazing and the staff were fantastic at recommending wine and providing us with a great stay. Definitely book to stay here if you are coming to Puebla, it’s about 7 mins walk to the main square and down some really beautiful streets. Superb!
